Our Board Members
Van is an advocate for older adults and a previous owner of an adult day health care program. She credits the program’s participants and staff for creating School For Seniors and producing its activity placemats.
Van is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a certificate in Gerontology from Ohio State University’s College of Medicine.
Professor of Physiology and Director of Art in Medicine in the Department of Bioethics and Medical Humanism at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix.
Cynthia received her Ph.D. in physiology from Wayne State University and is active in the community as a teaching artist. She is certified as an instructor in suicide awareness and prevention with the QPR Institute. Most recently, she completed the Molly Blank Fund Teaching Artist Program at ASU Gammage and is trained in the Kennedy Center arts integration method.
Michael Lee Zirulnik
Michael is an artist, educator, and administrator. He serves as Assistant Vice President of Development and Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at Creighton University.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Computer Information Systems from Rutgers University, and his Ph.D. from Arizona State University.
Lisa is a teaching artist and the owner of ArtMobile-AZ, a non-profit organization. She has a Masters of Arts in Medicine and a Bachelor in Fine Arts, with a major in Ceramic Sculpture, from the University of Florida.
Lisa is also a graduate of the Arizona Commission on the Arts’ AZ Creative Aging Teaching Artist Institute.
Cindy currently works at Banner Rehabilitation Hospital as a Payor Relations Specialist. She has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and an Associate in Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Cindy has been working with the geriatric population since 2015.
